DO YOUR WORST — A Shameless Art Auction
A Horribly Good Fundraiser
WHERE = Vine Street Brewing 2010 Vine St Bldg 2A, Kansas City, MO 64108
WHEN = Saturday, Oct 17th 2026 6PM - 8:30PM
Join us for a night of bad art, good laughs, and even better vibes.
Do Your Worst is back—and we need the artwork that did not quite go according to plan.
Instead of asking artists to donate their finest, most polished work, we are looking for experiments, studio misfires, questionable decisions, strange discoveries, and pieces you are finally ready to set free.
Artwork will be sold through a live auction featuring playful commentary from our host, with 100% of the proceeds supporting KCAC.
KCAC plans to include approximately 20–25 lots total. Submissions will be reviewed for alignment with KCAC’s code of conduct and the practical requirements of the event—not according to whether the artwork is artistically “good” or “bad.” Questionable artistic decisions are, after all, the point. KCAC may pair works together into a lot to keep the total number from lengthening the event run time.
Each donating artist will receive one complimentary admission to the event.
Working submission deadline: Monday, October 5 at 11:59 PM
Artwork delivery: October 17, 5:15–5:35 PM at Vine Street Brewing
Artwork should not be delivered to the KCAC gallery.
